Description: A magnificent strand of Sumerian gold and lapis lazuli beads with a central pendant gold disc.
The hollow biconical and tubular gold beads with striated and circle designs and superb reddish patina; the biconical lapis lazuli beads also with excellent signs of wear and build-up; the gold disc, also with reddish patina, was originally set with semi-precious or precious stones, which are now absent; the terminal beads are of ancient carnelian.
Temporarily strung.
