Description: A Tibetan gilded copper snow lion, a temple decoration which would have been displayed high up on one of the walls.
Hollow-backed, repousse design, with extensive remnant gilding and traces of pigment.
Good state of preservation, with excellent patina.
We are grateful to renowned Tibetanist David Templeman for the attribution and dating of this piece.
