From early Christian times, virtually all commentators held that Golgotha (The Place of the Skull) was so named because it was a place of execution, where the skulls and bones of criminals lay scattered.

Origin: Late 19th century, possibly Italian
Dimensions: Height: 31.0 cm
Condition: Dark patina overall.
