A superb archaic piece with caramelized patina.
Excavated near Brevig Mission, Alaska, in the 1970's.
Ancient loss at one end.
Signed on the underside by artist and elder Charlie Olanna, Brevig Mission, the piece bears six tiny attachment holes on the top surface, evidently for attachment of small carved figures carved by Olanna.
