Description

A exceptionally fine linen and gesso cartonnage mummy mask. The face beautifully gilt, the classic khol surrounded eyes very piercing. On the top of the head is a depiction of Khepri wearing the sun disc on the head.

Origin:

 Late Ptolemaic to Roman Period, 50 B.C. to 50 A.D., Egypt

Height: 36 cm / Width: 30 cm / Height including stand: 39 cm
