Description

A very fine Ptolemaic to Roman linen and gesso-painted cartonnage panel. The front a scene depicting a mummified figure, laying atop a carved bed, flanked by two jackal headed deities (Anubis) with female attendants behind them. Above the mummified figure is the Ba bird in flight. Beneath this main image are four other deities with different heads, all holding staffs.
