A Sumero-Elamite hardstone amulet in the form of a stylised recumbent bovine, beautifully rendered in three-dimensional form; a drill hole for suspension passes from the top centre of the animal's back to the lower centre.

Late 3rd to early 2nd millennium B.C. Western Asia.

Condition:

A small fragment around the bottom of the drill hole has been rejoined. Presented on a brass and persepex display stand.
