Description

An unusually large alabaster bead seal. Barrel shaped with a wide drill hole. The outer surface of the cylinder is engraved with a presentation scene; showing a seated King with an attendant standing to his left; before the king is a table with a large libation jar. The King being approached by three naked supplicants.

 

Origin:

Neo-Babylonian period, Circa 7th to 6th Century B.C, Mesopotamia.
